Blended Impact Partners on New State-Designated Innovation Hub
April 2024 - Through a new California initiative, the Accelerate California Inclusive Innovation Hubs, or Accelerate CA Hubs, program catalyzes and fosters innovation ecosystems across the state under the California Office of the Small Business Advocate (CalOSBA).
This program aims to: advance critical technology development; address industry and societal challenges; foster collaboration and partnership development across industry, academia, government, nonprofits, civil society, and communities of practice; stimulate economic growth and job creation; and serve as a conduit to regional innovation and talent.
The newly designated InSoCal Accelerate Hub covers the two-county region of Riverside County and San Bernardino County collectively known as the Inland Empire. Programmatic partners include the University of California Riverside Office of Technology Partnerships, California State University San Bernardino’s Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship, Murrieta Innovation Center, Inland Empire NavalX Tech Bridge, Riverside Community College District, AmPac Business Capital, and the Inland Empire Latina Business Women Association. Each will deliver 1:1 direct technical assistance to businesses in the region. Blended Impact will be responsible for the quarterly hub reporting, annual innovation reporting, and hosting periodic industry and investor events for the community.
